FAQs
All of the frames we make are individually designed to your requirements.
We offer you a free, no obligation consultation when you come to our shop, where by you bring the item(s) you would like to have framed in and we will discuss your requirements.
This will include the sort of budget you have in mind, your personal taste and design ideas, where you plan to display it and how much protection you would like built into the frame to protect the item.
If you don’t know where to start we will assist you by asking you some helpful questions so that we understand your requirements and we can then guide you through the process using our extensive frame design experience. You can see the design options for yourself before you choose with the help of the wide range of mount, moulding and glass samples we have available in the shop.
Once we have got it right, we will price it up for you instantly.
We can only give you an accurate price once we have seen what you would like to have framed, measured it and discussed the design and framing package with you.
If you are a returning customer and already know the materials/design you would like already then it may be possible, but otherwise we will only quote when we have seen your artwork in the workshop.

All of the frames we offer are made of wood, but there are metallic or gilt finishes available.
The practical element of the mount is to keep the glazing off your artwork and, together with the right frame, will help to enhance your work.
Clear Glass – Float glass is one of the most widely used glazing options.
Non Reflective Glass – A specialised glass that has been treated to reduce the amount of surface reflection. This glass has a slightly frosted finish to the naked eye but once in a frame you won’t notice it, it just gives a mat finish.
UV Protection Glass – Blocks ultraviolet light from your print or painting which helps to keep the colour strong for many years, however it is recommended that you don’t hang your pictures in direct sunlight.
Perspex/Acrylic – A good quality, lightweight and shatter-resistant glazing material. Ideal where safety is a consideration. Requires some care in handling, but small scuffs can be polished out.
